Cinnemon

Cinnamon was worth more than gold, and not only because of its unique taste. It was used for rituals in many countries.

Cylon Cinnamon comes mainly from Sri Lanka and Indonesia and reached Europe in

the 15th century via Portuguese traders.

Today, it is hard to imagine a cuisine or culture without cinnamon. For a good reason. Cinnamon not only tastes incredibly good, it also has many healthy properties that have an effect on body and mind.

From an Ayurvedic point of view, cinnamon is a heating spice and thus reduces Kapha. That is why it is good to add cinnamon to your tea mix and use it as a spice in the kitchen during the cold season.

Cinnamon is also effective against colds, rheumatism and stimulates digestion.

In the Persian region, the spice is said to have an afrodisiac effect.

As with all foods, there are great differences in quality. Attention should be paid to organic quality. Whether you buy sticks or powder depends on the way you use it.

I buy all my spices at https://www.emport.de/

They attach great importance to quality and direct exchange with the farmers themselves.

Cinnamon as a spice is particularly good in many soups. I love to add a stick to my sweet potato soup to make the flavour more complex. Also i am upset with Chai flavour. I do mix my own blend to have it always with me.

There is nothing better then a hot Chai after a long surf session. It warms heart and soul.

Feel free to write in the comments what you like to use cinnamon for.
